The Public Art Archive™ (PAA™) is a totally free, continually growing, online and mobile database of completed public artworks. The PAA database unites records from public art organizations and artists into one comprehensive resource and raises awareness about the value of public art and advocates for public artists. PAA is TOTALLY FREE to contribute to and interact with from your desktop, tablet or mobile device. Help us MAKE PUBLIC ART MORE PUBLIC by submitting your completed works today!

How-to’s, templates, and submission resources can be found on the Public Art Archive’s guide page. If you already use the CaFÉ (CallForEntry.org) system to apply for calls to artists, submitting to PAA is just a few clicks away. To get started, login to your CaFÉ account (or create a new account if you are new to the system), and read PAA’s current Call for Submissions. Ensure that your work falls within our definition of public art. Visit the Public Art Archive’s about page to understand the scope of the subject and content for inclusion.

Once you’ve determined that you work is eligible for inclusion on PAA, you can apply to the call, and submit individual projects on your own time, at your own pace. Use your existing public art portfolio housed within the CaFÉ system to simply add the additional information necessary to accurately catalog your completed projects. Select the images and/or videos you want to use and submit! You will be notified through your CaFÉ account when your work is included and searchable on PAA.

If your work is already in the Public Art Archive do not submit a duplicate record. To update or correct an entry, contact us at PAArchive@westaf.org.

If you are a collection manager or public art administrator and would like to submit a batch of works at one time, contact us for our Import Template or check out our Guide Page for instructions.
